TIL NORD

Discover a sublime open world on your snowmobile! Drive among the frozen environment of Snøfall øyer to discover beautiful vistas, time trials and quests that permanently change the open world in Til Nord; a free snowmobile driving game for PC.

Roles+Achievements:

  • Producer/solo team lead: Led a team of 16+ developers, and external experts from nothing to a succesful game launch and incredible team cohesion in 6 months using scrum methodology, Jira, and servant leadership.
  • Succesfully reached out to influencers, Youtubers and Reddit communities, with the game recieving over 310,000 downloads.
  • Prioritised the game's features that would be important to the vehicle game community, such as time trials with online leaderboards and photo mode.
  • Over 600 reviews, 84% positive rating on Steam.
  • Worked on from 2020 to 2021.

IN OUR NATURE

In Our Nature is a first-person narrative photography game set in 1960s Bavaria, following the journey of Emma, a young woman facing a quarter-life crisis. The game blends time travel with a character-driven story, where players use a Future Camera, whose viewfinder reveals and shapes the future to help Emma navigate her life choices and aspirations. She uses the Future Camera to try and solve the destruction of Germany’s first-ever national park, escape a burning house and deal with the grief of losing her father.

The game is currently playable as a vertical slice demo; 1 level in high quality and as a horizontal slice; the entire game in low graphical quality.

Roles+Achievements:

  • Lead narrative designer and writer: Outlined the overall time-bending story for the proposed full game. Wrote dialogues and implemented them in Unreal using Articy Draft. Prototyped the full story in the game's horizontal slice.
  • Combined Sartrian philosophy and European Feminist history from Master's Degree With creative writing and game design.
  • The writing style and philosophy aspects in the Vertical Slice were praised by one of the lead writers of Bioshock, and a writer at Rocksteady.
  • Grant Candidate Successfully applied for and received a €10.000 Stimuleringsfonds Starting Grant and a near €40.000 Digital Culture grant, a €10.000 Breda Creative Grant and a €5.000 North-Brabant Grant, adding up to a public fund of €65.000.
  • Tech Designer: Designed and programmed systems in the game such as a personality type system and a calender system to increase player interactivity.
  • Co-founder: Got the project from lacking a proper USP and direction to a project that has a strong USP, public funding, a philosophical core and strong message.
  • Gamescom Showcaser: A vertical slice of the game was shown and celebrated by AAA developers at a Devcon 2025 indie booth, and showcased in publisher speeddating.
  • Worked on from 2023 to present.

KIN VR (Internship)

KIN is a puzzle platformer game with combat elements that will have the player traverse the remnants of an ancient civilization on a distant planet. Throughout your journey through alien landscapes, a story will unfold. KIN also supports virtual reality.

Roles+Achievements:

  • Programming Intern: worked with Unity, C#, Oculus Tools to bring the world to life.
  • Programmed the non-threatening NPCs such as the birds that populate the game world and make it feel more alive.
  • Concepted and programmed the design of the non-VR port of the game.
  • QA tested the game near release to make sure the experience was without game-breaking bugs, and shipped on time.
  • Internship from 2017 to 2018.

TRASH TURF

Trash Turf is a 2-4 local part brawler, where you control a jet pack flying racoon and use your trash bag to knock the other players outside of the arena! Remain the last Racoon standing to win.

Roles+Achievements:

  • Designed Initial Premise and Vision Holder: Combined Urban Unrest's gameplay with the stage hazards of Super Smash Bros. and the style and humor of Invader Zim.
  • Playtesting: Constantly playtested the variables that are important in a physics-based game like this.
  • Iterative Testing: Tested and refined the weight of characters to ensure balanced gameplay.
  • Tech Design Created and programmed the pigeon hazards that appear in the game.

  • 3-Day gamejam: From concept to playable game in the span of 3 days.

CROWD KING

As the king journeys through the land, he discovered that the queen has been kidnapped by the Banana Slug Army, and the Crowds themselves have been scattered all over the land trying to find her! The king decides to take action and rescue his minions and the Crowd Queen personally!

Roles+Achievements:

  • Producer and Solo Team Lead: Joined a team halfway trough development struggling with feature creep and interpersonal drama, without a game, and got them to pull together using Scrum with Trello.
  • Focussed the team on a simple 1-feature driven game design, and made it to release.
  • Did production and stakeholder communication for the project for the last 2 months.

RECLAIM YOUR SHAME: THE DINER

MAKING FRIENDS WITH DISABILITIES

A board game based on my own master’s thesis Reclaim Your Shame, exploring how youth with motor disabilities can transform shame into pride and community. Drawing on Sartre’s philosophy, queer theory, and game design, the project helps players de-internalize shame, share experiences, and build friendships through playing a crass card game akin to Cards Against Humanity.

Roles + Achievements:

  • Thesis Writer: Researched shame, queer theory, and disability to form the foundation.
  • Game Designer: Designed, printed, and playtested the cards with disabled youth.

ALREADYMADE: VR/LIVE ACTION HYBRID DOCUMENTARY

Documentary by Barbara Visser about Readymades, in particular the controversies regarding Duchamp's Fountain (1917), "the most influential artwork of the 20th century". Partially filmed in the game VRChat, as can be seen in the trailer.

Was it marketing, mystification or misogyny which caused the rise of the artwork Fountain?

Roles & Achievements:

  • VR Expert: Worked together and concepted with Barbara Visser and her team to realise having a part of the documentary be set in VR, with me assisting by scouting locations, avatars in-game.
  • VR Filming Assistant: Assisted the film crew and actors on-site in filming in VR, and setting up shots, and working with headsets.

DISABILITY FASHION MAGAZINE

Disability magazine edited by me, to showcase the juxtaposition between the glamorous world of fashion magazines and the downtrodden world of those living with disabilities.

Roles & Achievements:

  • Solo Creator: Created the idea for the magazine, gathered relevant images from other disabled creators and then printed and pasted it in the magazine.

OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS

  • VR Band Game:Worked with a band in the top 500 most listeners globally on Spotify to create a playable VR experience to add to their tour.
  • Archeon AR Quest Echoes Internship As an intern, helped create the basics in game design, UI/UX for an applied AR game, which later became Echoes by Flavour.
  • Sports Creature Collector: Worked with one of the biggest sports companies in Europe to create an app that combined Pokemon creature collecting with real-life sports to help kids be healthier.
  • Don Diablo Racing: Worked together with world-famous DJ Don Diablo to create a HTML5 racing game prototype.
  • Dark Design Patterns For a Beter Tomorrow: Aided with the technological/programming parts of a research study if dark design patterns could make the world a better place.
